Outer Banks Olive Oil is proudly owned by Laura and Phil Wayland, lifelong entrepreneurs who believe that great food, meaningful connections, and genuine hospitality make every experience better.
Laura’s journey began as a stay-at-home mom running an in-home wine tasting business. When that company folded in 2010, she took everything she had learned and took a leap of faith—purchasing Chip’s Wine & Beer. That bold step laid the foundation for what would become a growing family of beloved local businesses.
In 2013, Laura and Phil opened their first Outer Banks Olive Oil store, bringing premium olive oils and balsamic vinegars to the coast. In 2024, they expanded once again with the opening of Key West Olive Oil & Gourmet. Today, they proudly operate multiple locations across the Outer Banks and Key West, built on passion, perseverance, and community support.
Our goal has always been simple: to create a welcoming, fun, and memorable gourmet experience for every guest who walks through our doors.
