BBQ Sauce for Ribs & Chicken

Bake time up to 3 hours

Bake Temp  325 degrees

Number 4-6

Prep time  20 mins.

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Cinnamon Pear, Chocolate or Espresso Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 cup chili sauce
  • 1 t chili powder (or cayenne if you want it hotter)
  • 1 t garlic powder
  • 2 lbs. ribs or chicken
  • 1 T liquid smoke
  • 2- 12 oz. bottles of any dark beer

 

Directions:

  1. Place ribs or chicken in large non-metallic container and marinate in the dark beer and liquid smoke overnight.
  2. Combine first 4 ingredients in saucepan and simmer until reduced to desired consistency (about 15 mins).
  3. If using ribs, bake without any sauce for about an hour.
  4. Brush sauce on the chicken or ribs and (continue to) bake or grill.
  5. For ribs, continue brushing sauce on every 30 minutes until done (about 2 hours at 325 degrees).
  6. Be sure to cook meats to their proper internal temperature.
